The book works of Werner Pfeiffer offer a dramatic dialogue about changing perceptions of that most traditional form of human communication–the book. Pfeiffer’s Book Objects are books that have been deliberately silenced. With their pages inaccessible, they have become unreadable relics. His Artist’s Books, on the other hand, are creative undertakings that involve planning, experimentation, and spontaneity. They beckon to readers, inviting them to experience the materials, the structure, and the text. Werner Pfeiffer, originally from Stuggart, Germany, is an internationally recognized sculptor, printer, and painter. The exhibition also includes his striking Dimensional Prints series.
