An early pen and ink illustration by artist Howard Chandler Christy has recently undergone conservation treatment by the CCAHA in Philadelphia. The 24 x 28.5 inch drawing dates 1896 and was donated to the Howard Chandler Christy Papers in 2012 in six large fragments with significant areas of loss. After extensive treatment, this fine example of late 19th-century American illustration is now in stable condition and available to our researchers.
