Freestanding books investigate the foundations upon which language and grammar are built. Discs, drivers, levers, and gears are used in the books to create mechanical metaphors and to give readers a new physical tool with which to examine the underlying meaning of words.

Turning the cranks, readers interact with mechanical poems to reveal forces hidden within the constructs of communication. Designed and produced by Karen Bleitz with poetry by Richard Price. Constructed of aluminum and silkscreened polypropylene in a limited edition.
