Black students at Lafayette College founded the Association of Black Collegians (ABC) in 1969 to promote liberation and unity among all black people as well as to provide academic and social support for black students on campus. ABC records document the founding of the student-led organization, the establishment of the Black Cultural Center, events, exhibitions, publications produced by members, and affiliate organizations such as NIA, the Brothers of Lafayette, and the Black Women’s Support Group at Lafayette College. The records include foundational documents, publications, and photographs.
