Laub received an AB from Lafayette College in 1903. While a student at Lafayette, Laub was class president and a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He obtained his law degree from Dickinson College in 1906 and went on to have a law career in the Lehigh Valley. Lafayette College materials include: student handbooks, class schedules, college ribbons worn at freshman banquet and freshman parade, Phi Delta Theta ephemera, photographs, invitations and program booklets, and newspaper clippings including an obituary for Stephen Crane. Included with the scapbook is a memorial speech given by David B. Skillman honoring the life of Herbert F. Laub.
