The album contains 101 postcards with subjects ranging from the Japanese funeral procession of the late Emperor Taisho to the Asakawa Mausoleum in 1926, monuments in post WWII Okinawa, pre-war Aomori and Hokkaido, and the 1915 procession marking the 1100th anniversary of the founding of Mt. Koya. The postcards have a slightly tourist sensibility and were perhaps collected on particular geographic regions of interest, rather than at one point in time.
