William E. Simon was the 63rd Secretary of the United States Treasury from 1974 to 1977, a businessman, author, and graduate of Lafayette College, Class of 1952. The papers document Simon’s public service as Secretary of the Treasury, Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, Administrator of the Federal Energy Office, and Chair of the Oil Policy Committee and the President’s Economic Policy Board and contain information about the development and pursuit of national economic and energy policies during the period.
